I am Baboo (Analysis Short Story)

 

I am Babo. I ready to sail the sea with Captain Benito Cereno. I am the chairman of the slave. I’am tired of being a slave and eventually I became a rebel. I want to go to my homeland but I don’t have the ship. I moved slowly out of the harbor of Valparaiso, on the west coast of Chile. Day after day I sail the sea with Captain Benito Cereno.

                One day, I join Captain Beneto Cereno to sail the sea. The name of the ship is The San Dominick. In that ship, there are slaves, both male or female sleep on the deck. They are not in the chain because their owner, Don Alexandro, said they were peaceful.

                Day after day sailing the sea, on the seventh day, Suddenly, there is rebellion happened. The crews awake, I rebelled the crew. I throw some overboard, alive and a few hid and escaped death. Because of that, Cereno choose to stay alive. I instruct Cereno to  accompany me to my homeland.

                    After that, I sail the sea with cereno go to the senigal. Day by day I sail the sea, the ship. Part of ships were damaged because of my rebell. Although, Supplies of food and beverages are also depleted. Because of that I sail the island of Santa Maria. I know that in that island no one live at there. And we can found many food and water. 

                    And then, in the road go to the island, the ship stop. Because the ship stop, The food and drink finally exhausted. And day after day, finally arrive in Santa Maria. Than, before take the food and drink. I meet The American’s ship and the captain’s name is Delano. Delano want to help me and my crews.  I tell Cereno for pleading. 

                    But, Delano feel suspicious of the Babo’s gesture. Day after day, I suppoted that I ever damage Cereno’s crews. After that, Babo , Cereno and Delano fight.
